- How do you get caught if you commit mortgage fraud?
It is very unlikely that you would be caught unless you default. Probably about 6%. They won t even be looking in your direction for any other reason unless, of course, the broker is investigated. That said, if what you say is true then there will probably be bigger fish to fry in relation to his dealings.

It gets checked! Not worth the risk. If you lie.. no one will lend to ..as you possibly get a criminal record for fraud! Could also effect employment. Is it worth the risk
How do you get caught if you commit mortgage fraud?
Could your parents actually give you a job of some sort? Maybe just a few hours or something? I'm thinking like proof reading some paperwork that you could do with baby in arms or something. just a thought!
BECAUSE YOU WILL BE LYING ON YOUR MORTGAGE APPLICATION IF YOU KNOW YOU DONT PLAN TO START THE JOB. Sorry to shout but you don't seem to get it.
It isn't a game it's a legal contract!
If you’re currently unemployed, it can be hard – but not impossible – to make your case to mortgage lenders. However, unemployed folks who still want to buy a home have options. For one thing, you can be unemployed and still have a high credit score and a low debt-to-income ratio. The lower your debt, the less money you need coming in to stay at or below the 86% debt-to-income ratio that experts recommend.

ok, one final question then ill leave you in peace. what do you think i should do? should i just accept i was naive, and deal with it, i have to admit i am delighted to have got a mortgage. it was proving impossible. and i am in no danger of not making the payments. however, i dont want to get prosecuted. when you say i m implicated in offecnes, what are they ? just that i signed the mortgage papers? so you dont think im likely to get in trouble?
as far as i know, no i wasnt, i have never seen it or anything, dont knoe where or how he got it, it was only after it all went through he told me. i was genuinely surprised, and thought he was joking at first, but now it does make sense. but hes adamant there will not be a problem as long as i make the payments. he says hes done it several times before because its not fair that people who can afford mortgages arent being granted them, thats basically what he said! so is he right, am i unlikely to get caught or is he just saying that ?

You need to ensure that your application lands on the desk of a key decision-maker at the lenders HQ who already appreciates your employability as a freelancer and is happy to therefore base affordability on the contract alone. 8776
