Access Hidden Options and Information With Your Mac’s
Sometimes on a Mac, the PRAM (parameter RAM) and NVRAM (non-volatile RAM) can become corrupt and cause various problems. These two memory areas store settings and information that is not cleared whenever you turn off your Mac’s power.
To do this, you’ll want to turn off your Mac, and then turn it back on while holding down the Command + Option + P + R keys. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time. Release the keys after you hear the second startup chime. The PRAM will be reset.

Wi-Fi offers the largest menu, just because it displays a list of all available networks nearby. In terms of extras, click on the Wi-Fi menu option to see additional details about your current Wi-Fi network, from name and channel, to signal strength and noise. You can also click on new menu items to activate various logging and diagnostic tools, which can be useful in troubleshooting Wi-Fi problems.

Option-clicking the Notification Center icon, which is the rightmost icon in the Mac menu bar, will put your notifications into Do Not Disturb mode. This is the exact same function as opening the Notification Center and toggling the DND button to On. The icon will turn gray until tomorrow, when it resets to normal.
